Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians and Nutritionists

The purpose of the Board of Dietitians and Nutritionists is to administer and enforce the statutory authority and to monitor the needs of the consuming public. The board licenses all eligible candidates for entry into the profession of dietetics and nutrition. It recommends appropriate changes in the law to assure fairness and equality. The board conducts formal hearings when necessary and prosecutes by due process any violators of KRS 310.

The board is a self-supporting agency and receives no general fund tax appropriation. It is funded entirely through fees assessed for licensing its professionals.

** Notice: The online option for license renewal is being upgraded and is currently unavailable.  Licensees have the obligation to renew on time and may download renewal forms from the “Resources” tab above. The online license renewal option will be available no later than Aug. 29, 2014.   

Please note: The Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians and Nutritionists no longer issues ID cards for licensees.
